MUSG Seeking Financial Vice President for 2013-2014 Year

MILWAUKEE (October 29, 2012) – Marquette University Student Government is seeking a Financial Vice President (FVP) for the 2013-2014 year and will release applications on Thursday, November 1.

This paid position allows students the chance to practical financial experience before graduating college. The FVP builds and manages MUSG’s budget, the largest student budget on campus. The FVP also manages a staff of three students. He or she also gains experience with real world operating systems like QuickBooks, Oracle, and FileMaker. In addition, the FVP creates financial statements and experiences an internal audit.

Additionally, the Financial Vice President is a member of the MUSG Executive Board, responsible for helping lead the student government as it aims to serve the needs of students on campus.

Interested students are encouraged to download the FVP application via MUSG’s website, musg.mu.edu.

Applications are due to MUSG President Arica Van Boxtel by Tuesday, November 20 in the MUSG Office, AMU 133. After a preliminary screening, interviews will be held November 26-30.
