MU Unplugged continues with Nelly’s EchoPosted: November 12, 2013
MUSG and Late Night Marquette are joining together to welcome Nelly’s Echo for the next installment of MU Unplugged, Thursday, Nov. 14 at 8:30 p.m. on the first floor of the AMU.
The lead singer, Nelson Emokpae, founded Nelly’s Echo in 2007. Emokpae created Nelly’s Echo to be neither a band nor a solo musician, but based on the concept of music as an experience. Since it’s creation, Nelly’s Echo has released three albums and toured around the United States, including a performance for U.S. soldiers stationed in Cuba.
Nelly’s Echo came into the spotlight on the third season of NBC’s popular talent competition, “The Voice.” Though ultimately eliminated from the competition, Nelly’s Echo gained a large following and fan base. Most notably, Emokpae has shared the stage with musicians like Travis McCoy and Sean Kingston.
Nelly’s Echo hopes to entertain attendees with a new wave of “funky fresh music” to captivate students and share messages of positivity, life, hope and love with people everywhere.

Complimentary cookies and coffee will be provided to attendees. MU Unplugged is free event open to all Marquette students.
