The Madison Letter to perform at MU UnpluggedPosted: November 5, 2013
Marquette University Student Government and Late Night Marquette are hosting another installment of MU Unplugged, this time featuring The Madison Letter on Thursday, Nov. 7 from 8:30-10 p.m. in the Alumni Memorial Union.
With many influences ranging from artists including Maroon 5, Mat Kearney and Colbie Caillat, The Madison Letter has extrapolated a sound that can be described as “fresh” and “mainstream” with “strong vocal, melodic, lyrical and rhythmic elements that made you fall in love with music in the first place.”
Since the band’s formation in February of 2010, The Madison Letter has toured across the country and has opened for well-known music acts such as The Script, Owl City, Secondhand Serenade and Alex Goot. Earlier this year, the band was featured on MTV as one of the top four nominees for MTV-U’s first ever Chevy Sonic College Woodie Award.
This free event will begin with an opening performance from Marquette student Claire Kelly on the first floor of the AMU.
Complimentary coffee and cookies with be provided during the performance and after the show there will be a meet and greet with the band.
