MUSG to survey students on gender and sexualityPosted: October 21, 2013
In order to better understand the concerns of students as they relate to topics of gender and sexuality on campus, Marquette University Student Government is gathering student input through a “Gender and Sexuality Survey,” running from October 21 to November 1.
During this two-week survey period, MUSG Senators will be gathering data from students in populated locations around campus. Survey data will be collected anonymously using Campus Labs’ iOS application for iPod Touch. Students may also complete the survey in the MUSG office, AMU 133, during regular business hours from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The survey was authored by MUSG Executive Vice President Zach Bowman and MUSG Off-Campus Senators Natasha Hansen and Mary McCarthy. Hansen serves as Chair of the Student Life committee of Senate.
“Gender and sexuality is an important topic at Marquette that should not be ignored,” Hansen said. “I’m confident this survey will help inform our work as Senators and MUSG’s advocacy as a whole.”
For questions regarding gender and sexuality resources on campus, students can visit the Gender and Sexuality Resource Center, AMU 425, or contact the center at firstname.lastname@example.org.
