Senior Speaker Nominations

MILWAUKEE (October 12, 2012) – Marquette University Student Government and the Office of Student Development will be requesting nominations for the Senior Speaker for the mid-year commencement ceremony on December 16, 2012.

The student selected for Senior Speaker will deliver a brief, 5-7 minute speech, that will be reflective upon his or her’s personal experience as a Marquette student, while building a sense of unity amongst the graduating class.

Nominations can be submitted through the MUSG website, http://musg.mu.edu, by clicking on the link found under the “What’s going on at MUSG?” section, located on the MUSG home page. The submission form will require nominee’s first and last name, Marquette e-mail, and phone number; along with a brief statement displaying your reasoning for the nomination.

Note that all nominees for the senior speaker must be a graduating student who has been a full-time undergraduate student for at least five semesters at Marquette, have cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher, have no record of academic or disciplinary probation at any point of time during their enrollment at Marquette, and cannot be a present or former member of MUSG Executive Board or Senior Speaker Selection Committee.

The deadline for nominations will be Sunday, November 4, 2012.

All students and faculty are encouraged to visit the MUSG website and nominate who they feel embodies Marquette values of Leadership, Service, Excellence and Faith.
