MUSG to host events throughout Senior Week

Marquette University will be hosting an array of events during Senior Week beginning May 17 through May 22.

On Tuesday, May 17, the Senior Challenge Signature Event will be from 4:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. at Lakefront Brewery. It is a night of food, trivia and a private brewery tour with friends. Buses will depart from the Annex starting at 4 p.m. Tickets for this event cost $20.11. The brewery tour is optional, and costs an additional $7.

The Senior Ball will be the night of Wednesday, May 18. From 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. This formal event will be held at Discovery World and will include a shuttle, hors d’oeuvres and desserts. Buses will rotate between the museum and the east entrance of the AMU beginning at 8:45 p.m. and stop upon conclusion of the ball. Tickets for this event are $42.

On Thursday, May 19, there will be an Alumni Wine and Beer Tasting from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Seniors can enjoy the company and wisdom of recent alumni while having the opportunity to sample a wide selection of Milwaukee beer and wine. Tickets cost $22, and include 6 samples as well as a commemorative gift.

On Friday, May 20, seniors have the opportunity to enjoy a boat cruise and take in the nighttime city landscape from 9 p.m. to 11 p.m.  The evening will be spent on the Milwaukee River. Parents are welcome to attend. Buses will leave the east entrance of the AMU at 7 p.m. and will return at 1 a.m. Tickets for the cruise cost $30 and include hors d’oeuvres.

On Saturday, May 21, seniors can attend the Senior Family Brunch in the AMU Lunda Room and Baccalaureate Mass. The first brunch seating is at 9 a.m. and the second seating will be at 10:30 a.m. Baccalaureate Mass will follow brunch at 4:30 p.m. at the US Cellular Arena. Tickets for brunch are $20.

Tickets and T-shirts can be purchased in the AMU Brooks Lounge. Cash, check, Marquette Cash and credit card are accepted. No refunds will be given. Tickets are limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis and will only be sold to seniors graduating in May 2011 or December 2010.

Marquette University student identification is required for all events. Proof of legal drinking age is required for purchasing or consuming alcoholic beverages at all events.
